Save and reuse a job template

EnglishUpdated Sep 13, 2026

A job template combines frequently used labour tasks and service packages. It speeds up preparation while leaving the advisor responsible for the actual vehicle, work and price.

Create a template

  1. Open Workshop → Job Templates.
  2. Select Add Template or Add First Template.
  3. Enter Template Name and an optional description.
  4. Under Labour Tasks, use Add Task and choose the tasks to include.
  5. Under Service Packages, use Add Package and choose the bundles to include.
  6. Review Labour Total, Packages Total and Estimated Grand Total, then use Save Changes.

You need template-management permission to save changes. Reading and using templates can be granted separately.

Apply the template to a job

  1. Open a new job order and select its work order.
  2. Use Load Template.
  3. In Load Job Template, select the required template.
  4. Review the appended tasks, packages and resulting included parts.
  5. Adjust the work for this vehicle, check quantities and prices, then Save the job order.

Loading a template appends its contents. Loading the same one twice can leave duplicate work in the editor, so inspect the line list before saving.

What happens next

The saved job follows the normal cost approval, technician work, work approval and invoice workflow. Loading a template does not obtain customer agreement or complete the work.

Troubleshooting

If the template list is empty, create a template or ask someone with access to do so. If its totals look outdated, review the catalogue and template defaults, then verify the actual job lines. Deleting a template cannot be undone through that delete action.
