Create a service package with included parts
EnglishUpdated Sep 13, 2026
A service package bundles a repeatable service and its included items at a package price. Use it for work your workshop routinely sells together.
Before you begin
Create the required inventory products first. You need permission to manage service packages; seeing estimated cost and margin can require additional cost access.
Build the package
- Open Workshop → Service Packages → Add Service Package.
- Enter Package Name, choose Vehicle Type where applicable, and add a customer-friendly Description.
- Set Package Price.
- Under Included Parts / Items, use Add Item or Add first item.
- Select each product and review its Qty, Unit Price, discount and subtotal.
- Check the items total and any estimated-cost warning. Set the package Active and select Add Package.
Use Update Package when editing. Activate and Deactivate control availability without requiring you to remove the package's history.
Price and cost are different
The package price is what you sell the bundle for. The form's estimated cost helps you assess today's included-parts cost. Actual job profitability depends on the parts consumed and technician time, so the estimate is not a guaranteed margin.
What happens next
Advisors can add the package to a job order or job template. Review the resulting parts and quantities before saving the job. Do not separately bill an included item a second time unless it represents an additional agreed part outside the package.
Troubleshooting
If Cost exceeds price appears, review the intended package price and item quantities. Hidden cost information means your account lacks access; it does not mean the package has no cost. A stock warning on a job still needs a purchasing or inventory response.
