Share vehicle progress or inspection findings
EnglishUpdated Sep 13, 2026
Tracking and inspection links let a customer see information about their visit without a staff account. Choose the link that matches what you want to explain.
Share progress
- Open the correct work order and verify the customer and phone number.
- Review the current status and any information intended for the customer.
- Use Send Tracking Link.
- Read the result carefully. The link may be sent through WhatsApp or copied for you to send manually.
If the customer has no phone number or WhatsApp fails, a copied link is not a delivered message. Paste it into the conversation with the correct customer yourself.
Share an inspection
- Open the inspection and check its findings, readings and photos.
- Save the recorded work and select Share with customer.
- Review the sharing prompt and use the offered customer message or link.
- Explain any flagged items in language the customer can understand. Use an estimate for the proposed price and work.
Anyone with a shared link can open its customer-facing content. Check that photographs contain only information appropriate for the vehicle owner before sharing. Avoid sending a link into a group conversation unless that is intentional.
What happens next
The customer can review progress or findings. Opening a tracking or inspection link does not automatically pay an invoice or authorise every proposed repair. Estimate approval is a separate workflow.
Troubleshooting
- A missing share action can mean your account lacks tracking or inspection-sharing permission.
- If the customer sees the wrong vehicle, stop using the link and verify the work order and contact before sending another.
- If the page is unavailable, ask staff to reopen the source record and obtain the appropriate current link.
